Wish Fountain ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Wish Fountain mobile application.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following information when you use Wish Fountain:

Account information: Email address, username, and password (encrypted)
Profile information: Your chosen avatar, dreamer type, and onboarding preferences
Content you create: Wishes you post, messages in bottles you send, and reactions
Usage data: App interactions, feature usage, and session information
Device information: Device type, operating system, and app version
Push tokens: If you allow notifications, a push notification token for your device, collected so we can send you notifications
Purchase information: If you subscribe, your subscription status and purchase history

2. How We Use Your Information

To provide and improve the Wish Fountain service
To deliver messages in bottles between users
To send account-related emails (confirmation, password reset)
To send push notifications you have enabled
To process and manage subscription purchases
To personalize your fountain experience based on your preferences
To ensure the safety and security of our community

3. Anonymous Features

Wish Fountain is designed with anonymity in mind. When you post a wish anonymously or send a bottle to a stranger, your identity is not revealed to other users. We maintain anonymity as a core feature of our service.

4. Data Storage

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a trusted database provider with industry-standard security measures. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We may share data with:

Service providers who help us operate the app (Supabase, Resend for emails)
RevenueCat, which processes subscription purchases
Expo, which handles push notification tokens and delivers notifications to your device
Firebase Crashlytics (Google), which collects crash reports and diagnostic data to help us fix bugs
Law enforcement when required by law

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Wishes expire after their set duration. You can delete your account directly in the app: go to Profile → Settings → Delete Account. You can also visit wishfountain.app/delete-account for instructions, or email support@wishfountain.app.

7. Children's Privacy

Wish Fountain is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
